FolioArena is an information, analysis and education platform for investors, built around private investment clubs. This page explains what the platform does and does not do, which rules we impose on ourselves for reliable and transparent information, and what responsibility you bear as a user. We have deliberately written this in plain language — not only in legal terms — so that, as a private investor, you know exactly where you stand.

What FolioArena is

FolioArena is a platform for:

FolioArena is not a bank, broker, investment firm, asset manager, financial adviser, fund or other financial institution.

What FolioArena does not do

In practice: the portfolio module on FolioArena is a self-entry form. You enter transactions that you have already carried out yourself with your own broker (for example via Bolero) — the platform itself does not place, receive or send any order.

Why we do not give personal investment advice

Personal investment advice requires a licence as an investment firm and means that a recommendation is tailored to the specific situation of one individual: their knowledge, objectives, risk appetite and portfolio. FolioArena deliberately does not do this. All information on this platform — including the AI analyses, scores and leaderboards — is general in nature: it is shown to everyone in the same way and does not automatically adapt to your personal situation.

Therefore, based on its current activities, FolioArena does not offer any investment services that require a licence, and does not aim to carry out activities for which a licence as an investment firm is required. Important: the actual operation of the platform is always decisive, not just this statement — and that operation, like the applicable regulations, may change.

Our rules for reliable and transparent information

1. General information, not personal advice

All information is general in nature and is not tailored to your personal situation. Your user profile, watchlist, search history or portfolio never automatically leads to a personalised buy or sell recommendation.

2. Facts and opinions kept separate

We distinguish between objective data, calculated indicators, analyses, expectations, opinions and automatically generated content. Where an AI analysis gives its own assessment (for example the "outlook" or "score"), it is identifiable as an assessment — not as established fact. Where an external analyst or bank is quoted (for example a "buy" recommendation), we always state that it concerns that external source, not FolioArena's own recommendation.

3. Sources and dates stated

For AI analyses we always state the sources used and the date of the last update, and — where applicable — that price data may be delayed relative to the actual market price.

4. Conflicts of interest

See the separate section "Conflicts of interest and commercial relationships" below.

5. No misleading communication

Our content must not suggest guaranteed returns, hide risks, present returns selectively, present past performance as certainty, create excessive urgency, or contain unfounded price targets. Price targets that we show are always attributed to external analysts — never a guarantee of FolioArena's own.

6. Transparency about calculations

The AI score and outlook per share are determined on the basis of eight weighted factors: earnings development, fundamental figures (valuation, margin, growth, debt), analyst sentiment, price momentum, sector position, market context, historical return and news sentiment. A higher score points to a more favourable picture over the analysis horizon; an outlook of "bullish" corresponds to the higher scores, "bearish" to the lower ones, and "neutral" to the rest in between. Built-in rules automatically temper the score around quarterly results, after a strong recent price rise, or in times of heightened market stress — and a "bullish" or "bearish" conclusion requires at least two independent sources.

The analysis itself is generated by an AI system based on publicly available information and automated price data. There is no automatic adjustment to an individual user, and human spot checks are possible but not guaranteed for every analysis.

7. Careful use of AI

Where AI is used for summaries, analyses or text, we state this explicitly, together with a warning that AI can contain errors or outdated information. AI output is never presented as personal financial advice, and never gives personalised buy or sell instructions.

8. Market abuse and insider information

We do not tolerate the spreading of knowingly false or misleading information, price manipulation, pump-and-dump behaviour, front-running, or trading/recommendations based on inside information. Do you suspect any of this on FolioArena? See "Reports, questions and corrections".

9. Risk information

See the separate section "Risks of investing" below.

10. Corrections and updates

We correct material errors as quickly as possible. Every AI analysis shows the date of the last update, so you can judge for yourself how current the information is. We do not guarantee that all information is fully up to date at all times.

11. Commercial transparency

FolioArena currently has no advertising, sponsorship, partner content or affiliate links. Should that change in the future, we will always make it clearly recognisable and separate from our own editorial content and AI analyses.

Conflicts of interest and commercial relationships

AI analyses on FolioArena are generated automatically from public sources, and are not written by an individual author with a position of their own in the share discussed. Therefore there is currently no conflict of interest to report for these analyses.

Should FolioArena in the future add features that allow members or staff to publish their own text about specific shares, then from that moment the following applies: anyone who writes about a share in which they hold a position, short position, fee, sponsorship or other connection discloses this explicitly with that contribution.

Risks of investing

Use of data, algorithms and AI

Price data on FolioArena comes from public market data sources and may be delayed or differ slightly from the actual market price. AI analyses are generated automatically using the method described above (see "Transparency about calculations"), based on publicly available research and price data.

AI can make mistakes, use outdated information, or give an incomplete picture. Check important conclusions yourself against reliable, up-to-date sources before you make a decision.

User responsibility

Every investment decision you take — whether you base it on information from FolioArena, from elsewhere, or on your own judgement — remains your own responsibility. We recommend that you always do your own research, spread your risk, and, if in doubt, consult a licensed financial, legal or tax professional for advice that is tailored to your personal situation.
